The most popular cenotes for swimming will have signs to direct you, but the safest bet is to be part of a guided group that has cenote swimming in the day plan. Some cenotes connect to other cenotes, so if you’re used to scuba diving, then the Yucatan cenotes may be a great opportunity for an unusual dive.
