A full day tour for people that love nature and Mayan culture!

We invite you to discover the traditions, culture and warmth of the Mayan people. You will visit the Mayan village of Nuevo Durango which is surrounded by a gorgeous lagoon and a spider monkey sanctuary. Hidden under the luxuriant Mexican jungle near the village we will find sacred caves.
 
In this explorer tour your multilingual Mayan expert guide will take you on a walk through the jungle pointing out the magical surprises this environment has to offer.  When reaching the opening to the cave, you will rappel into the heart of the Mayan underworld where beautiful stalactites and stalagmites shimmer in the damp glow.



 
You will then return to the village for a delicious meal prepared by Mayan women in their traditional kitchen. You will also have time to visit their charming “Insect House” museum.


 


After this delicious break we will transport you to Punta Laguna where you will be able to experience an unforgettable sight of this breathtaking lagoon. Go for a swim or simply relax before visiting the “Spider Monkey Sanctuary".
 
We end this fantastic day with a performance by the children of the extraordinary Mayan band “Huck Been Pax”.
