Enjoy a day packed with Mayan culture and adventure activities. You will be in contact with both the ancient and the modern day Mayan cultures in combination with the natural beauties of Coba’s surrounding and adventure activities like zip lining, rappel and kayaking.

Coba archaeological site is located deep inside the forest of south-eastern Yucatan Peninsula. The site was built around two lagoons and although it is less famous than Chichen Itza, Coba is the Mayan archaeological site to visit in the Yucatan Peninsula. Dating from the Classic Period of the ancient Mayan civilization the site contains several large pyramids including the tallest pyramid of all Yucatan Peninsula.

Your adventure starts with a two hour guided tour of the ancient city of Cobá. Climbing the 42 meter / 130 feet tall Nohoch Muul temple will reward you with a spectacular view over the surrounding jungle and you will also visit the ball court and several other pyramids and structures.

You will then continue to visit a self-sufficient Mayan community living next to the region's lagoon system. You will walk through the local forest and learn about the local flora and fauna.

Afterwards the adventure continues with a zip line fly over a beautiful cenote, a refreshing swim and a rappel down into another cenote. Afterwards you will canoe on one of the pristine lagoons.
To end it all a delicious traditional meal will be prepared for you by the women of the Mayan community.

Includes: Transportation in air-conditioned van, multilingual adventure guide, Mayan guides at locations, entrance fee to Coba, qualified archaeological guide in Coba, kayak or canoe, rappel and zip-line gear, lunch and drinks.
