The Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave is the most impressive cave in Belize and the Maya Lowlands. This cave was a sacred place to the Maya who began using the entrance during the early classic period (300-600AD).
The most famous detail of the cave is the human remains of “The Crystal Maiden”, the skeleton of a young female whose bones have been completely covered by the natural crystallization of the cave.

The tour starts in the morning when you are being picked up from your hotel. You will then leave the cave to enjoy a picnic lunch at the entrance of the cave. We hike back through the jungle and drive back to your hotel where this amazing tour comes to an end.
